Export Messages is a simple Mail script that takes all the selected messages and creates a folder on the Desktop called "Exported Messages" and writes the messages to individual text files, with the subject as the file name.Perfect for saving plain text messages like mailing list subscriptions, so you don't have to keep them in Mail! This isn't designed for formatted messages with HTML. It also doesn't save attachments, just the message text.
If you've ever tried to save several emails to a file from Apple's Mail, you know it doesn't work - Only the first selected email gets saved.
Export Messages is an AppleScript that will save multiple emails to text files in a folder on your desktop. The files are named with the email subject, so watch for emails with duplicate subject lines (usual suspect is ones that are a thread and start with "Re:"). This script is meant to be run from the script menu in Mail. Just drop it in the Mail Scripts folder in your Scripts folder (in your Library folder).
If you don't see a folder named Mail Scripts, just create one (or choose Open Scripts Folder from the script menu in Mail and Mail will create it).
